In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

My “great concern”

God, as always, had provided just what I needed. It was as if the walls of a tunnel had been bulldozed, and light was suddenly pouring in.

Nothing added or taken away

In recognizing the inherent completeness of all that really exists, we find peace in the truth that nothing that is truly of value or of genuine substance is ever lost.

Undeterred

I held to the truth of God’s—divine Truth and Love’s—presence and protection.

Out of a job? Never!

As God’s reflection, each one of us is complete and secure and does not have to entertain doubts or fears about our livelihood.

What will I do today?

Whatever I do today, I hope and pray to be alert to and aware of people around me who are in need, to recognize ways in which I can be of help, and to share something of Christ’s promise and blessing each day.
I thought I would share my bedtime prayer with you in case it could help you, too.

The living idea

Instead of wallowing in pain and a mistaken sense of limitation, we rise up, maturing in our understanding of God’s expression of us, Life’s infinite idea.

A summer of mental shifts

Facing a summer full of mental and physical challenges, this author relied on prayer to find healing at each turn.

“I will lift you up!”

So who is lifted to God by divine Love’s healing message? Anyone who commits their heart to seeking a better understanding of God, who watches and listens for God’s high calling, and who devotes life’s moments to Him.

The law of progress

The world will try to get us to drop our spiritual altitude for a merely political opinion on one side or the other. But a true understanding of progress compels us to stay the spiritual course, allowing only spiritual observations and conclusions to take root in our thinking.
She would be the only Christian Scientist on a demanding summer wilderness adventure. How would she respond to the dangers they would face?
Nehemiah, who was morally courageous, was a great leader who did remarkable things through relying on God. Like Nehemiah, we can seek to fulfill the purpose that God has for us.
