In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

My attention has been called to an advertisement recently published in your paper entitled "The Harmony of Christian Science and Chiropractic.
In uniting and condemning "rationalism, higher criticism, universalism, theosophy, and Christian Science" as "lies" and in stating that Christian Science "denies the reality of sin and the need of atonement," as reported in a recent Sunday issue, your contributor erred greatly.
A news item in a recent issue, under the caption, "Publisher Forgets He Isn't Short-Sighted," reports statements of a French gentleman, alleged to be a Christian Scientist, setting forth certain methods and teachings which are in no way similar to or connected with Christian Science.
In an article in your paper, statements "made in the Lambeth Encyclical" if not corrected would give your readers a wholly erroneous impression of Christian Science.
One who subscribes himself "A Reader" takes exception, in your paper, to the Christian Science teaching on some fundamental questions, such he death, matter, sin, atonement, a final judgment; and he sustains his objections on the ground that the Bible is misinterpreted on these questions by Mrs.
That "Christian Science is neither religion nor science, but is a sort of disease which sweeps people off their feet," is the remarkable statement made in a lecture delivered at the Auditorium Theater, according to a report in The Spokesman-Review.

Being Born Again

"Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

True Compassion

How to be truly compassionate is born in human consciousness with the spiritual understanding of what man really is, his relation to God, and to his fellow man.
As the student of Christian Science pursues his journey from material sense to the understanding of Spirit, he is often surprised when, upon reading some one of the Bible stories with which he has become familiar, an almost startling unfoldment dawns upon him, and he sees he has been looking afar off when the pearl was just at his feet.

Real Rest

A young girl who had always been more or less frail, disliked very much to go shopping, and whenever the experience was necessary it seemed to tire her exceedingly, though out among the trees and flowers she could run and play for hours without the slightest sense of weariness.

The Second Mile

So writes the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy.
