Raymond N. Harley, Committee on Publication for Transvaal, South Africa,
In his letter published in your issue of May 21 last, a clergyman suggests that your report of a Christian Science lecture given at Benoni carries a willful misstatement—by the lecturer, I take it.
What
Christian Scientist has not felt a thrill of spiritual joy and self-mastery when, in spite of fearful trembling, he has given a testimony at a Wednesday evening service! Perhaps for many months the desire to speak had been present with him, but fear had seemed to chain him to the seat.
Those
who are gaining some understanding of the influence of thought upon their health, happiness, and prosperity can draw a valuable lesson from the words of the Way-shower and Exemplar: "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
On
page 4 of her work "Pulpit and Press" Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in words of deep comfort and encouragement writes: "Wait patiently on illimitable Love, the lord and giver of Life.
