In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

One thought that occurred to me was how often I felt tempted to eat almost automatically, without thinking, sometimes when I wasn’t even hungry. I realized that my appetite had become like another god to me, controlling my behavior in ways I didn’t like.
As my fear diminished, I was able to breathe freely again, and that was the end of the difficulty.

The sweetest attraction

As my desire for God grew, I became more alert to the mentally and physically unhealthful nature of my passion for candy. It felt addictive.
I continue to learn more about how Jesus healed by discerning the thought of individuals, and seeing beneath the surface of physical symptoms to the critical issue at hand.
Prayer in Christian Science can dissipate the “vain dreams” and fears of addiction by revealing the truth of our life in God.
After recent mass shootings in Atlanta, Georgia, and Boulder, Colorado, I wanted to pray more effectively about gun violence.

Missing Mom?

If you ever miss your mom, you can remember big God-love.

Sunday School felt like family

Gratitude flooded my heart for the loving direction Mary Baker Eddy gave for teaching in the Sunday School and for her perseverance in sharing God’s truth with the world.
As my Father-Mother God’s image and likeness, I possessed not only all Her mothering qualities but also opportunities to “be fruitful, and multiply” them in my experience.
I began to see what a beautiful sense of dominion comes when I trust in our heavenly Father-Mother God and stop trying to run the show.
We belong to God, and always have belonged to God.
I saw the police withdrawing and the crowd dispersing peacefully.
