No other gods

Turning to gambling as a means of gain necessarily involves a turning away from the only provider, the one true substance, God. Looked at frankly, gambling, or chance-taking, is a form of idolatry.

"When someone wins the lottery or does well at a casino, how do you know that isn't God's doing?

Don't gamble with your integrity

Can we embrace, even momentarily, both chance and divine order?

If we love even a little more than the day before, we should feel a sense of accomplishment.

I think that you will be interested to know that I am one of those who came into Christian Science as a result of listening to the shortwave broadcasts of the Christian Science Sentinel, The Herald of Christian Science, and the Sunday service from The Mother Church.

I once thought the term self-knowledge just meant making the effort to know my true, Godlike self. But then I realized it must mean taking a hard look at what I'm currently manifesting, good or bad, in terms of qualities of thought, attitudes, and morals.

We must not stop at just trying to be better humans. We must put on the full mantle of our spiritual sonship.

Are you afraid of violence?

Right activity and the good that proceeds from it aren't limited only to certain days or places. God, good, is always present.

I worked at expressing the orderliness of God's creation and at bringing about peace and calm in the classroom. I found that the children quickly responded to this.

Well able to heal

The ability to rely on God to overcome any sort of problem, be it the size of a gnat or a giant, derives directly from our relationship to God as His image and likeness.
