In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

Real home

My husband had recently passed on.

"I pulled out a piece of paper and listed all the qualities I could think of that I naturally possessed as a child of God."

A standard we can live up to

In the industrial city where we once lived, a brass tablet on the entrance of a business usually announced the name of the owner and the nature of the goods manufactured there.

Being intact

It means doing our best to "sin no more"—shunning the zigzags of material thinking.

Turning again to God

Our heavenly Father's compassionate care and love for us are ever ready and ever present. We are never alone.

"The only way you can repay me is to strive to be the man you've truly always been—the expression of God, good."

A woman in the hotel asked, "What is it that makes you and your mother look so happy?"

Don't be disappointed!

Good things don't just happen randomly, nor do they take place miraculously.

There is nothing wrong with faith. It is vital to our lives as Christians. But to continue in the practice of Christian healing, we must understand how we are healed and why.

Gratitude ... what a word!

Have you ever heard the story of the person who said to the wood stove, "Give me some heat and then I will feed you some wood"?

Always enough

This was one way God had of assuring our family that we would always be provided for.

God's inspiration comes right through the words into our hearts and lives.
