In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

When you think of God as Soul

To think of God as Soul instead of imagining soul as personal and subject to the vagaries of material conditions is to see kindness, provision, inspiration—all sorts of spiritual resources—as present, even when those good gifts might not seem immediately apparent.

Live to love!

Nothing need distract us from following through with our divine calling of living to love. It’s our top priority.

Finding true freedom

God, Spirit, is the real source and essence of freedom—fearless and limitless Life.
Ever thought you had your plans all figured out, only to discover you were headed in the wrong direction? This author did and struggled to know what to do. Turning to God for guidance wasn’t her first thought, but she was so glad when she did.

Healing abuses of power

God is a God of justice and mercy whom I knew I could trust with my career.
I realized how much love there was at camp. I had learned in Sunday School that God is Love and that Love is everywhere. But now I really saw that.

Freed from blaming

I was feeling both divided and fully justified in my feelings of outrage and disbelief that this church, founded on divine Love, could do something that I felt was so unloving.
To find health would involve becoming better acquainted with myself as an idea of Mind, God—as perfect, spiritual, sinless, ageless, good.

The life we’re meant to live

My concept of myself as a suffering mortal trapped in a physical body was gone, and I knew that I was the spiritual child of God only, free from mortality with all its discords and limitations.

Rediscovering joy

God is showing you that you have a share in His joy. There is as much divine joy available as you could possibly want, and you have a share in it.
God is our lead “partner” in the dance of our lives.

Does progress require process?

Our lives are not reliant on material processes but on eternal, spiritual unfoldment, peeling away limited, material thinking and revealing the universal presence and supremacy of Spirit, God, and His perfect creation.
