Why I am a Scientist

Being a child of a Methodist minister and a Methodist mother, one brother a Methodist Evangelist, four others and two sisters, pillars in the Methodist Church, and having borne the stigma of being the "black sheep" of the family on account of never having professed religion, I tried conscientiously to embrace orthodoxy, but failing to find satisfaction, I turned to Spiritualism.
The following extract from a recent letter from a missionary worker in Harpoot, Turkey, may be of interest to the Field, so I send it.
