Christian Scientists are fully awake to sin in all its phases, and they are taught by their text-books, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs.
Christian Science agrees with the Scriptures which declare that "all things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made," and that "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
It is hard to understand the indignation to which our reverend friend has given vent in his three-column article.
Christian Scientists do not employ hypnotism.
In a recent issue of the Scotsman, the statement that "pain and death are only things of the unemancipated will" is given as the teaching of Christian Science.
Christian Science proves its right to be called Christian by not only teaching its followers to believe in the doctrines of Jesus but actually to put those doctrines and commands into practice, in so far as they understand them, in the healing of sickness and the overcoming of sin.
