Symptoms of contagious illness healed
I would like to share a healing I had many years ago. This testimony is long overdue, but I hope my experience will give hope to anyone dealing with contagion.
In the mid-1960s, just after I turned eighteen, I was a new recruit in the United States Navy and attending basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in North Chicago, Illinois. For the first time in my life, I was separated from my family and on my own.
We were in our sixth or seventh week of a 12-week training program when some recruits in my company started getting sick. At first, there were just one or two cases, but that quickly turned into two or three cases a day. These men were taken to the base hospital, where they were put into quarantine. When they were fully recovered, they were not returned to our company but were put into a newer company to receive the training they had missed while they were sick. This added an extra one to two weeks to their training time.
