Does God hear me?

A friend asked me the other day: “How does God hear me? I’m clear on God speaking to man. I get that. But if it’s always God speaking to man, how does God hear me when I have a need?”

Well, I had to stop and think for a second, but the answer came from a Bible verse: “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear” (Isaiah 65:24).

God is an immediate help. God knows each and every need that we have and meets it—in fact, already has. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need” (p. 494).
