Immunity from conspiracy
At times when it seems evil is just waiting around the corner, plotting to destroy someone or something, where can we turn for protection?
The Bible shows that however formidable evil appears to be, its power is a sham. Through the understanding that God, good, is the only real power, evil can be defeated, and its seeming ability to win the victory thus proved to be a lie.
Throughout both the Old and New Testaments, we are given many accounts of people who obeyed God and, as a result, witnessed the defeat of whatever attempted to overthrow the reign of righteousness. A few examples include Nehemiah’s success in rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem despite enemy harassment, David’s victory following Absalom’s attempt to take over his kingdom, and Christ Jesus’ triumph after his crucifixion.
