The Christ—God’s healing message
Over decades of studying and practicing Christian Science, I have found the power of Christ supreme for overcoming countless issues.
Many years ago, while working in the field of diagnostic health care, I was searching for a Christian denomination that made practical the healing works that Jesus did and said we could do. I found Christian Science and began consistently studying it. Not long after, I witnessed an occurrence in the hospital where I worked that consolidated for me the concept that there is more to health care than what we understand on a physical basis.
At one of our morning staff meetings, a patient case was presented for which there seemed to be no explanation. Images from a diagnostic test had clearly indicated a large mass; it had been plain for all to see. But a short time later, with no medical intervention in the interim, the test had been repeated, only to show everything in that area to be completely normal. The large mass that had been evident earlier was now totally gone.
All those in the meeting were silent; no comments were made or questions raised. There was no medical explanation for the change. It came to me that the power of God was the only thing that could have brought about such a change.
