Healing of a sprained leg

Originally published in Portuguese

One day a few years ago, I was riding my motorcycle and, because I was late for a meeting, took off very fast after a stop at a traffic light. I was traveling close to the cars parked along the curb of the avenue, when one of them pulled out and hit my bike.

I lost my balance and fell on the ground with my left leg under the motorcycle. I immediately affirmed divine Love’s protection and presence in action, governing everything harmoniously. There were no angry words exchanged, and there was little damage to either vehicle. The driver, who wasn’t hurt, apologized to me and explained that he hadn’t seen me while pulling out.

I went on my way with my leg causing me discomfort. In compliance with a labor law that requires a medical certificate to justify an absence from work for health reasons, I saw a doctor, who said that my leg was sprained and put a splint on it. He recommended complete rest and said that my recovery could take several weeks. No medication was administered or prescribed.
