Deep cut quickly healed
I had just graduated from high school and taken a job in another state as the breakfast cook at a summer resort. I was looking forward to making new friends and having new experiences before starting college.
To my chagrin, the first new experience I had was slicing my finger while using a knife. I bandaged the deep wound but was unable to stop the bleeding.
I am a student of Christian Science and had learned as a child that I am loved by God and always safe in His care, so now I prayed the best I knew how. However, the bleeding continued. The kind owner of the resort said there were no hospitals in the area and recommended that I visit a retired nurse who lived nearby.
