Above the fog

Encounter foggy thoughts that loom
So thick at break of day?
You have the remedy at hand
To sweep those clouds away.

Lift your thinking high above
The sundry mortal woes
That claim to thwart your gathering
Of all that heaven sows.

Take up the books1 that hold within
The truth that sets you free,
Whose precious words empower deeds
And cause error to flee.

Enveloped in His atmosphere,
Awash in warming rays,
Raised in the consciousness of God,
You dwell above the haze.
