Truth
I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
Because the Hebrew noun pe ‘ullâ—rendered work here—can mean reward or recompense, some scholars view “I will direct their work in truth” as God’s pledge to faithfully reward His children’s labor. Others see it as the way God guides their efforts. One affirms that He will “appoint them work and service of a spiritual nature, and direct them, and enable them to perform it in spirit and in truth. . . .”
Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
