Cut healed instantly
If we have had an accident that resulted from our own mistake or bad judgment, that’s no reason to believe that we can’t find healing through Christian Science.
Over the past three decades, I have joyfully come to know Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, through her many writings. Studying these works along with the Bible has guided me daily to a higher understanding of God and His laws. And in Retrospection and Introspection, a book that includes some autobiographical details, Mrs. Eddy wrote, “The human history needs to be revised, and the material record expunged” (p. 22). Since first beginning to study Christian Science, I have applied this rule to many aspects of my experience, including dealing with accidents.
This was especially helpful recently when I was cutting my hair with razor-sharp thinning shears. As I closed them with force, I immediately realized that I had not accurately gauged the distance from the tip of the shears to the inside of my left hand, which held my hair. This caused a deep, inch-long cut in that hand.
