A spiritual approach to peacemaking
I thought peacemaking meant
Defusing conflicts
Mediating disagreements
Smoothing ruffled feathers
Restoring broken relationships
Resolving old grievances
Remaining calm when faced with strife
Helping two sides find common ground
But I’m beginning to see
Peacemaking
From a spiritual perspective
A spiritual peacemaker
Acknowledges the omnipotence of Principle
Recognizes the peaceful permanence of Truth
Accepts the harmonious facts of Soul
Understands that discord is unknown to divine Love
Sees that time has nothing to do with eternal Life
Heals by seeing the indivisibility of Spirit
Discerns the unity and wholeness of the one Mind
Spiritual peacemaking
Does not focus on conflict
Spiritual peacemaking
Begins with the allness of God.
