God, the great caregiver

God tenderly cares for all of His children, and when we turn to God, we see this evidenced in tangible and practical ways.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, states, “Life is eternal. We should find this out, and begin the demonstration thereof” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 246). As Mrs. Eddy discovered, when it comes to our relationship to God, there is no diminishing or aging process. Life is eternal, and the recognition of this reality heals—restores us to understanding and experiencing the fullness of life, making us “every whit whole” (John 7:23).

I see many wonderful evidences in our community of family and friends coming together to assist those in need of attention, nurturing, and practical care. It is also rewarding to support those caring for their elders. However, sometimes a sense of personal responsibility can make this care feel burdensome and difficult. The good news is that God, the Father and Mother of the universe, tenderly cares for all of His children, and when we turn to God, we see this evidenced in tangible and practical ways.

Christly, heartfelt prayer is imperative and effective, providing inspired insights that give clear direction. These insights show us how and when to help senior family members find healing as well as home and activity that are just right for them. What a wonderful Christian directive it is to care for those in need, especially the precious ones who have blessed others along their journey.
