I’d lost all equanimity since the recent attack on Israel and subsequent war. Then one morning I awoke at 2:50 and went to JSH-Online.com and did a search for overwhelm. This article came up, and it is a prayer answered. It’s exactly what I needed to hear and know.

Thank you for this article. One phrase in particular was very powerful to me, and it has helped deepen all my prayers: “quieting the false sense of self that clamors for control—for its own opinions, feelings, desires, and even avoidances.” The problems aren’t “out there” but within consciousness.
