Facing issues of race

[Betty Jean O’Neal, “Divine Love casts out fear and keeps us safe,” Sentinel, May 30, 2022]

It is nice to see an account of a Christian Scientist facing issues of race. When my daughter was in the first grade, she was also the only Black child in the school. As we stood outside that first morning, I cherished the spiritual truth that she would be cared for. I saw a beautiful Black woman walking toward us, and it turned out to be the school principal. She welcomed my daughter and assured her she would be there for her.

Healing power of divine Love

[Pamela Herzer, “Dad, I forgive you, and I love you,” Sentinel, June 13, 2022]

My deepest thanks to Pamela Herzer for this article confirming the healing power of divine Love. I was also buoyed by following the link to her earlier healing. Both accounts inspired me.

Helped me understand

[Carol Dismore, “How to forgive,” Sentinel, June 13, 2022]

What an amazing poem—very inspiring. It really helped me understand how to forgive.
