Grief healed, peace restored
Originally published in French.
I would like to share with you how Christian Science helped our family to overcome feelings of grief and loss when a loved relative died.
This relative’s passing created a feeling of sorrow in the whole family. However, some members of our branch Church of Christ, Scientist, came to visit us at home. We shared ideas about the immortality of man as God’s child and the infinite continuity of the Life that is God. We also affirmed the spiritual fact that there could never be a situation that isn’t under God’s government of love. We recognized that God’s love dwells with everyone, including my brother and the people who came to show sympathy for the family.
At the end of this visit with these church members, my family felt comforted and enveloped by the arms of divine Love, lifting us out of grief.
