The hem of Christ’s garment
Off to heal, Jesus did not rush,
but paused, feeling a mental touch.
He knew his clothes were not what healed;
it was Christ, Truth, that she could feel.
The woman’s thought called out to him
for health, for life, freedom from sin.
He stopped and gave just one response:
Who touched me?”* She came forth at once
and voiced aloud that she was whole.
She must have felt the love of Soul
and yielded humbly to the Christ.
She showed her faith was what sufficed.
When with Truth’s garment we now gird,
go forth in peace to prove God’s Word,
we hear the blessing “You are free”
and touch Christ’s hem, reality.
