A lifetime of healings
When I first knew of Christian Science, I was unaware of how the Word of God could heal someone who simply had a desire to improve their life by learning more about God. But during my first reading of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of the desire to smoke cigarettes. That was almost fifty years ago.
Studying and practicing Christian Science was most helpful to our family. Many challenges were overcome through the years by depending solely on God and prayer for healing or guidance. I found this statement from Science and Health to be a mainstay: “To gain Christian Science and its harmony, life should be more metaphysically regarded” (p. 65).
This has meant to me that we can turn to God for everything in our daily life. And when sticking to the truth as found in Genesis 1, we can trust and realize harmony, calmness, and beauty.
