Excited about the new Sentinel
[Susan Stark, Continuing the Conversation, “What’s coming in the Sentinel?” Sentinel, October 12, 2020]
I am so excited about the new Sentinel coming out next year. The changes being made and the fresh ideas sound wonderful and will offer new ways to explore and understand Christian Science. I am grateful for the inspired thinking.

Message of hope
Dread was plaguing my thoughts as I switched off the news with its reports of wildfires, a hurricane, COVID deaths, politics, and a plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan.
After dinner, I picked up the October 5, 2020, Sentinel. I am writing to thank you for the affirmations of Life and its goodness that spoke to me from its pages. The issue spoke, too, of my responsibility. Significant to this were “Don’t participate in the dream—awake to reality” by Warren Berckmann, “Say no to self-harm” by Deborah Huebsch, and “How can we pray about humanity’s future?” by Tony Lobl.
Thank you for the cumulative message of hope that I gleaned from the pages of this Sentinel.
