Growth dissolves quickly
It is with much gratitude that I write this testimony about a quick healing I experienced several years ago. On one side of my head I had an abnormal growth, which quickly enlarged. When I was getting a haircut, my hairdresser mentioned it and said she was concerned about its appearance. I assured her I would have it taken care of.
At that point I made a concerted effort to address the situation through my own prayers. But I didn’t feel I was making much headway, as fear was prominent in my thoughts. So I called a Christian Science practitioner for Christian Science treatment, and the fear quickly diminished as she lovingly talked with me.
On the second day, when I called for continued support, the phrase “truth removes properly” came to thought as we were talking. As soon as we hung up, I looked up the full statement and found it in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive” (p. 463). I felt it was an angel message from God that led me to this statement, as I was not familiar with it at the time. During the day, whenever I felt any fear, I held to this idea, seeking to understand it and hold it in consciousness. The fear continued to lessen during the day.
