A move toward cleaner conversations
One day a fellow Christian Scientist phoned me with an unusual request. He worked in an office and was on his lunch hour. “Talk to me about clean things,” he said. “Tell me about what’s spiritual and true. This office I’m in can have the foulest conversations.”
I shared some uplifting statements from the Bible and from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. He went back to work spiritually refreshed.
Not all the conversation we encounter is like what this man had been experiencing, of course. But much of it could be improved, cleaned up, brought more into line with what God knows of His children.
