Urinary tract infection healed

A vacation with my spouse and two children was approaching, and as I was packing, I knew there was one thing I could not bring with me. A urinary tract infection had been troubling me, and it needed to be remedied. We were only days away from departing. I quietly sat on the edge of the bed, stilled my thought, and silently yearned for an answer.

As I humbly reached out to God in consecrated prayer, the spiritual idea that I had not sinned, and therefore did not need to suffer, welled up within me so strongly. It felt as though this came to me from God in deep love. I was familiar with the statement from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy where she wrote, “We cannot in reality suffer from breaking anything except a moral or spiritual law” (p. 381).

Immediately, I felt “in my body” that I was “whole of [that] plague,” similar to the woman with the issue of blood who touched Christ Jesus’ garment and was healed (see Mark 5:25–34). I was aware of a sensation in my abdomen decreasing in intensity for about three seconds, and then it disappeared. The condition was gone, completely, and has never returned. This healing took place more than twenty years ago and has remained complete.
