News flash: The human mind is not a healer
Christian healing is work, but the human mind is not the healer.
I became involved in the work of Christian healing without even realizing I was doing so.
It started with caring enough about a badly injured relative to pay her a visit. She was a Christian Scientist, and during that visit I began to have a deep desire to learn about Christian Science. I wanted to know the reason for the joy she was so radiantly expressing even while she was in this very difficult condition. So, a few days later I went to a Christian Science Reading Room, where I started to read the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Seeing that the book required thoughtful study, I bought a copy.
