Familiar hymn leads to healing of intense back pain
I would like to tell how Mary Baker Eddy’s poem “Christ My Refuge,” which is included in the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 253), helped me some time ago.
In early November 2016, I was suddenly struck with severe pain in my back. It was very difficult to sit down or stand up, especially when getting in and out of bed.
I asked a Christian Science practitioner for Christian Science treatment, which was lovingly given. The pain lessened a bit, but I was still uncomfortable, and my thought was not uplifted. I reached a plateau after two weeks.
