Lifetime of healings inspired by Wednesday testimony meetings
Wednesday testimony meetings in Churches of Christ, Scientist, have been invaluable for me and my family.
I was the firstborn when my folks were the age of traditional grandparents. My mother had a difficult delivery, being in labor with me for three days, and I was diagnosed as a “blue baby.” The doctors warned my dad that my mother would not live through another pregnancy, and they predicted that I would not survive.
Sometime earlier, my dad had attended a Christian Science testimony meeting out of curiosity and had been impressed with the sincerity of the testifiers. So, at this point of desperation, he agreed to let his sisters (who had heard of another sibling’s healing through Christian Science) contact a Christian Science practitioner, who came to pray for me.
