Children’s healings
My five-year-old son, Camden, wasn’t feeling well one day and stayed home from school with me. His dad picked him up that evening, per our normal schedule since our divorce. In the morning, I wondered how Camden was doing. However, having spent much of the night and early morning in prayer, I continued this communion with God instead of texting his dad to find out if Camden was well.
Right around the time when I knew Camden was to be dropped off at school, I found comfort in reading the Bible. The passages I read helped assure me that Camden was cared for and doing well. Not a moment later my phone rang. It was Camden’s dad. I answered and waited for him to say something, but instead I heard joyful chattering from Camden and his brother. I heard their dad talking to them about being ready for school and checking with Camden that he had his lunch. The boys sounded so sweet, happy, and healthy.
Camden’s dad hadn’t intentionally called me; it was a “pocket call.” But, intentional or not, it showed me the results of prayer. I thanked God wholeheartedly for His ever-present care and for showing me how healthy and happy Camden was that morning.
