Lump disappears through prayer
Some years ago I was posted to Copenhagen, Denmark, with my job. I had found a local Church of Christ, Scientist, at the end of my street, and I was happily living in Copenhagen.
One day I noticed that there was a lump in one of my breasts. I was initially shocked and wondered what I should do. I then felt that I should pray. I started out by completely denying that anything like a lump could be acknowledged as real in my thinking. I was extremely adamant about this and mentally challenged the thought with a very strong and determined response. I said to myself, “I do not have to accept this picture of myself.” I knew that my true identity is the perfect child of God. I then felt that I could listen to God guiding me so that I could know how to continue in resolving this issue.
I started reading the Christian Science Bible Lesson for that week, which contained (as it always does) passages from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science.
