Broken finger healed quickly
My mother was a dedicated Christian Scientist. To get to the nearest Church of Christ, Scientist, she would put me in a stroller and push me two miles to the main road, where we would catch a Greyhound bus to town. There I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School at a very tender age.
When I was a little older, one of the requirements from my Sunday School teacher was to memorize each week’s Golden Text from the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. What a wonderful foundation these Bible quotes have been to me over the years! It was in Sunday School that I learned, “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). I have been able to prove this truth many times.
When I was in the seventh grade, I was playing baseball with some friends one morning before school. One of the boys swung his bat, and my finger got caught between his bat and mine. My finger was bleeding and quite obviously broken. The principal took one look and said he was not even going to touch it. He called my mom and asked her to come get me.
