Unsightly growths gone
I’m extremely grateful for the many ways in which I’ve seen the power of God heal, protect, and nourish me. As I continue to study Christian Science, I am more and more aware of the completeness of this power. I feel that I am engaged in spiritual progress that never ends, with only greater blessings to come!
Over the past couple of years, I had two experiences that gave me a fresh glimpse of this power and its healing results. One day I noticed that I had a growth on my forehead, near the hairline. While it wasn’t painful or irritated, I knew this could be healed, as I’d seen many proofs of God’s power in my life.
I began to pray, affirming to myself that I was the pure and complete reflection of God, and that as His spiritual idea I could experience only what God knew of me. God certainly didn’t have any growths, so neither could I as His perfect, spiritual reflection. Through studying Christian Science, I knew that whatever we hold in our thought is evidenced in our bodies, either good or bad. I wanted to be sure I was thinking only good, spiritually true thoughts.
