Arm healed after a fall
Last spring for several weeks I had been doing some deep study in the weekly Bible Lesson, found in the Christian Science Quarterly, and I felt truly inspired by what I was learning.
One Monday as I was leaving the house for a luncheon date with friends, my boot caught on the carpet, and I wound up face down on a tile floor. I was stunned, but immediately turned my thought to God and what I’d been studying in the Lesson. I managed to get up and move to a chair, but my arm was limp and unusable. Because of the recent study and prayerful work I had been doing, I did not feel any fear or pain.
I canceled my lunch and called a Christian Science practitioner, who immediately agreed to give me prayerful treatment. I had experienced other healings through Christian Science in the past and was so thankful for its healing truths. In the Bible Lesson that week there was an especially helpful passage from Proverbs: “When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble” (4:12).
