Healings during pregnancy
My husband and I recently welcomed our second child into our family. Through prayer, I experienced many healings throughout the pregnancy, from little discomforts to a more serious medical issue. I am so grateful for all the evidence of God’s loving care in these instances.
I thought a lot about the fact that God, omnipotent Love, is the real Father and Mother of all of us—me, my baby, my family, and everyone. There were times when I felt a false sense of personal responsibility for my unborn child, such as when I wasn’t able to keep much food down for a while. I was worried that I was going to harm my baby by not giving him enough nutrients.
This problem cleared up after persistent prayer, but even before the complete healing came, the fear totally melted away as I saw that the children of God are spiritual, whole, complete. Though it’s certainly necessary to provide practical and compassionate care for children, we can do that without anxiety.
