A consciousness filled with light
Given the fast pace of our daily lives, it might seem almost impossible to take a break. There is always something going on that requires our attention, and we might feel we don’t have enough time even to pray to bring our thought into accord with God. Experience has shown me, though, that prayer is not an option, but a priority.
Whether we are facing challenges in our personal lives, or are concerned by what’s going on around the world, be it disease, security issues, injustice, economic upheavals, and so on, I’ve realized that filling our thought with the truth of God and man is exactly what’s needed. Prayer can help us understand that all those situations are, in reality, erroneous mortal beliefs; they are not the truth of being.
Christian Science teaches that to destroy mortal beliefs we need to begin our prayer with God, our true and only source. In reality, God, divine Mind, created all in and of Himself. All the ideas in divine Mind express Him. Therefore, His whole creation, including man, is as perfect and harmonious as God.
