The spiritual significance of the 91st Psalm
I’ve been learning more each day that as we gain a better understanding of the spiritual meaning of the Scriptures, more harmony becomes tangible in our lives. Mary Baker Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “The Scriptures are very sacred. Our aim must be to have them understood spiritually, for only by this understanding can truth be gained.…
“It is this spiritual perception of Scripture, which lifts humanity out of disease and death and inspires faith” (p. 547).
Wow! The “spiritual perception of Scripture” is what lifts us out of human ills and sorrows, and gives us faith. Studying our Bible, then, in conjunction with Science and Health, is vitally important to our spiritual progress. Recently I learned the truth of this.
