Freedom of movement restored, humility gained
About two years ago I awoke one morning with pain shooting down the right side of my body, from my hip to my toes. It didn’t seem to matter what position I was in, and my movement was limited.
I began to pray immediately, affirming that God is my strength and my source of all goodness. I also studied the Christian Science Bible Lesson, and continued this prayer and study throughout the day as needed. Though I was able to carry out my daily obligations, the pain did not lessen after a few days, and fear crept into my thoughts. I then called a Christian Science practitioner who lovingly and quickly assured me that God’s loving arms were comforting me and holding me in perfect harmony, because I was His idea.
All fear left as the practitioner prayed for me for a few days, also speaking to me over the phone and in comforting emails; I could feel progress taking place each day. My dear husband was a wonderful support to me during this time. Though not a Christian Scientist, he respects Christian Science and attends church with me on Sundays.
