A week devoted to God
First appeared as a Web Original on December 2, 2015.
I’m so grateful for the many Christian Science healings I’ve experienced, and the peace and joy that always accompany them. I also appreciate the testimonies that are published in this magazine. When I was a teenager, I read one each night, and they were a tremendous support as I navigated those sometimes tumultuous years.
Last year I had a priceless healing, and I hope this testimony is a support to someone else, as others’ testimonies have been to me. The healing occurred during a vacation. When my family and I take time off from work, we normally either go on an adventure or spend time with relatives, but last year I had an opportunity to do something very different. My husband and daughters had various plans, and I had the option of doing whatever I wanted for a whole week. I decided to devote that time to prayer and quiet study of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and to review my notes from Christian Science class instruction, a two-week course I had taken several years before.
Much to my surprise and delight, I noticed that I had experienced a healing.
