Love this article
[“A government of God,” Gloria Jean Preston, October 10, 2016, Sentinel]
I love this article! It reminded me of how to truly pray during this election cycle, and I am now doing that better. I can push back any fear about the outcome, knowing that God will always be there to protect us, bless us, and move us all forward.

Loving God and man
In Marilyn Wickstrom’s article, “Right desires and their fulfillment,” in the September 26, 2016, Sentinel, she quotes Mary Baker Eddy: “Nothing can compete with Christian Science, and its demonstration, in showing this solemn certainty in growing freedom and vindicating ‘the ways of God’ to man” (Retrospection and Introspection, p. 31).
God’s ways as found in living Christian Science are the most rewarding. No human striving to fulfill ambitions can compete with the fulfillment of loving God and man, in doing unto others by helping and healing whatever comes into experience. The writer’s lifelong experience here recorded is delightful proof that prayer is paramount, and that the good we do is always “To Thine, for Thee” (Mary Baker Eddy, Poems, p. 13).
