Strength regained
This is adapted from a testimony originally posted during The Mother Church’s online Wednesday testimony meeting.
I’d like to express gratitude for a healing that I had some time ago that really proved to me that God is my help and strength. Over a period of several months, I noticed that I just didn’t have the strength and ability to do many of my normal activities. At the time, I was raising three active children and was very involved in my community and my church. It increasingly became difficult to keep up with all that I needed to do. Eventually, it became hard to walk or open a jar.
I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me during this time. I cannot say how grateful I am for her compassion and persistence as she provided Christian Science treatment for me. As I was praying myself, it became clear to me that I needed to really handle the aggressive suggestion that I could become a hopeless invalid.
