Painful sunburn gone
During my senior year of college, my tennis team and I went on a trip to California to compete against other college tennis teams. During the first couple of days, I spent an extensive amount of time outside in the sun. One day, when applying sunscreen, I forgot to put sunscreen on my hands. That same day the team and I played a game out in the sun, and by the end my hands were badly sunburned.
I didn’t think much about the sunburn at first, but as the days went on my hands became worse to the point of extreme discomfort. The burn was clearly visible and difficult to hide.
I called a Christian Science practitioner to give me Christian Science treatment, and whenever I had a moment over the course of the trip, I would steal away and check in with the practitioner. At night before bed I would log on to JSH-Online and listen to an audio reading of portions of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I also listened to comforting hymns. And I read bits and pieces of the chapter “Footsteps of Truth” in Science and Health.
