All the healing thoughts you need

It was after I had taken Primary class instruction in Christian Science. I felt such a reverence for God, as divine Mind—the only source of intelligence—that I found myself thinking and saying that a thought had come to me, rather than that I had thought it.

It had become very clear in class that God and His thoughts constitute the All-in-all of true existence—that God is the only Mind, the originator of all true thoughts, and that man, the male and female of God’s creating, is made up of God’s thoughts. That means that you and I and every other person actually include, by reflection, every thought the divine Mind imparts. But we don’t originate these thoughts. This was such a holy realization!

I saw that I could intelligently weigh the thoughts that came to me, and select and accept into my consciousness only those that had their origin in God, and therefore were spiritually true. If a thought reflected the nature of God as unlimited Love and Life, I knew it was true—a thought to be accepted, cherished, and put into expression. If a thought misrepresented God’s good nature, I knew it was untrue—a suggestion to be rejected and discarded in favor of the truth God was imparting. And healings became a regular part of my experience.
