Child healed of asthma
A few years ago I started taking my 18-month-old son to the Wednesday evening testimony meetings at a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, in our town. I had done a search online hoping to find a church that I liked and could raise my son in, and I found Christian Science.
At the time I had a health condition for which I had tried traditional and alternative therapies without much success, and what attracted me to Christian Science was its metaphysical basis and emphasis on spiritual healing. At the Wednesday meetings, where people share the healings they’ve had through their prayers, I felt so calm and peaceful that I knew the meetings were helpful to me. And I felt very comfortable with leaving my son in the childcare room during these meetings.
My son had his own health problems, and after a couple of months I asked someone in the church for referral to a Christian Science practitioner. I was given a copy of The Christian Science Journal, and I contacted a practitioner listed in the magazine for metaphysical treatment for my son.
