Quick recovery after industrial accident
For many years, Christian Scientists in my local community had been responding to the need for a new and larger Christian Science nursing facility. After much prayer, steps were taken to forward this idea, and the construction of a brand new building commenced.
As the building neared completion, the Board of Directors of the nursing facility was made aware of my construction supervisory experience, and they offered me the job of facilitating the final stages of the new facility.
During my second week on the job site, as I was surveying the landscape grading plans, I saw two contractors climbing a ladder to the roof. I had not been on the roof of the facility but had heard about a water ponding problem there. With the ladder in place, I decided it was a convenient time to investigate the situation firsthand.
