The reason for our joy

Jesus, the great Exemplar, proclaimed a gospel of joy.
It was late spring some years ago, and my daughter was going to be a mountain guide in the Sierra Nevada Mountains around Yosemite National Park.

Progress is a law

Progress is God’s law, not simply wishful thinking. It is not random, nor does it depend on luck.

Our Pastor’s healing ministry

Being a Christian Scientist is not a passive endeavor.

Back to playtime

I go to Christian Science Sunday School with my older brother at a Christian Science Society and rely on prayer for my healings.

The treasure of healing

Discovering gold couldn’t begin to compare to the valuable spiritual insights unfolding in my thought as I study Christian Science.
For many years, Christian Scientists in my local community had been responding to the need for a new and larger Christian Science nursing facility.
I was raised in Christian Science, attended Christian Science Sunday School, had been an active member in a Christian Science Organization while at university, was a member of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and had experienced some wonderful healings throughout my life, but I had postponed taking Primary class instruction for many years.

A radiant sunset, beautiful as blessings when they take their flight, dilates and kindles into rest.

Fishers of boat people

By the very nature of their profession, the fishermen of Southeast Asia are often quite low in social status.

God’s supremacy on earth becomes more apparent as we pray to comprehend God’s allness, and the fact that creation is His expression, always governed by Him.
