Free from pneumonia and resentment

I was 19 when I began attending a Christian Science Sunday School. What I learned there has helped me understand that God protects and cares for each one of His children.

Several years ago, my siblings and I had to take turns taking care of our father, who had been hospitalized. One day when I was taking care of him, I became very sick, and a doctor told me I had pneumonia.

I returned home and began to pray for myself. I read the Christian Science Bible Lesson and applied what I was learning from it to my prayers. During the day I would usually feel better, but at night I was filled with fear that I wouldn’t be able to breathe normally. This went on for a few weeks.
